| I'm currently pregnant - what insurance can I get? |
Most states automatically decline for pregnancy; we will not be able to help you with any insurance until after the baby is born unfortunately. Those clients in Michigan are the only exception. Contact your broker directly in Michigan for details. In all others states there might be some state programs that you are eligible for, but you will have to contact your state's Department of Insurance directly. Please keep in mind that we are here to assist you once the baby is born. At that time we will most likely be able to help you find some affordable health insurance. |
| We are adopting a child; can we get coverage for me, my spouse or child that we are adopting? |
Unfortunately not - the same answer applies as above. We know it doesn't seem to make sense, but that's the answer. Insurance companies are required by law to add a new child to Mom or Dad's existing insurance plan. Due to this - insurance companies would rather deny Mom and/or Dad until after the baby has arrived. That way they avoid paying claims for the new baby.
